new USMLE system and new updates to the American Equation

Some new amendments and changes have been applied to the American USMLE equation system, the most important of which is the abolition of the evaluation or score system in Step 1 and it became only Pass or Fail, and the other change is the abolition of Step 2 CS and a language exam has been added instead of it, which is the OET exam, and we will discuss all in this article Details of these amendments and their most important consequences.

If you need to know more about the American equation and its conditions, you can read the following article .

First: Step 1 exam has become Pass or Fail

After the step 1 exam became pass/fail, step 1 became a lot easier, but the ease is only that the high stress associated with the score became less, but the equivalency curriculum for step 1 is still the same

Imagine, before these amendments, that after completing the entire Step 1 curriculum, you would prefer to solve questions from all the different question banks and go back to raise your evaluation or score, for example, from a range of 220 to 240, and you would prefer to repeat the review and solve the questions until you reached the score to You want it, indeed it was more difficult, but in light of the current amendment, all that is required is the degree of success only.

Second: Canceling the Step 2 CS exam

Cancellation of the Step 2 CS exam, and whoever was taking his exam inside America, and of course he was providing the cost of the equation in addition to the costs of travel and accommodation to complete this exam, and instead of it, a language exam was added, which is OET, and you can take it in your country.

These changes led to some consequences, the most important of which are:

– Step 2 currently has a high priority in the evaluation because it is still in the score system, so try to make a great effort in it to get a high score, and the chance of this happening is much greater when you are loyal to Step 1 well and have a strong basic science foundation that facilitates the study of Step 2 and helps you to answer the highest score.

- It will be more important than before, for your CV, and this is through Electives or Research and other US Clinical Experiences

The most important questions regarding new updates

start his nation?

Start as early as you can, the earlier you start, the better.

If I finished Step 1 early, what nation should I finish Step 2?

At any time, the most important thing is not to exceed 7 years from the time you finished Step 1.

Start with Step 1 or Step 2?

The answer to this question, after the new updates, has become easy and clear. If you start with step 1, passing it will help you encourage you to complete the journey, because your success in it will make you feel that you have cut half of the journey, and most importantly, it will facilitate you in step 2 and help you get the highest score in it, and that you answer in step 2 a high score that has become the most important challenge for him For the equation as we explained before this
